Christina’s coffee mornings have made a big difference to my life . Since retiring early , I started to get a bit bit bored , wondering what to do . I decided one day to go to a Coffee morning with my friend Cheryl to the John White Center in Binley. Christina was there and made us very welcome . We now go to three coffee mornings started by Christina, and have made a lot of friends . Me and Cheryl look forward to going every week. I saw an ad on Facebook about a coffee morning group at my local community centre and decided I'd give it a try. Everyone was so welcoming and I instantly felt I belonged. This group of strangers have become friends that I look forward to seeing each week. We laugh and chat and we have created a safe space to share any concerns we may have. We come from different backgrounds however our life experiences are often similar and it has been reassuring to know we are not alone.
